Argyrades is a large picturesque village, built during the Venetian rule. It is situated in the southern part of the island, 33 kilometers from the town of Corfu. It has a population of around 2,000, including the population of the nearby settlement of Marathias. Not far from the Argyrades lies the beach of Agios Georgios. Argyrades is built on top of a hill and is surrounded by lush olive groves. There are two churches in the village, one dedicated to Agia Triada and the other to Agios Ioannis.
