Along with his devotion and incisive painter’s gaze, Tetsis identified early on one of the central axes of his work in the study of the intensity of light and its transformation into color and painting values.
In his mature years, the painter devotes himself to observing and recording a place which he has been visiting for many years. Sifnos is prevalent in a large number of his works, which transfer the morphology of specific parts of the island in the realm of painting by interpreting the relationship between light, the island’s terrain and the dynamics of color.
