Perivoli is a village located on the southern tip of the island, at its narrowest point. It is situated just 4 kilometers from the town of Lefkimi and 35 km from the town of Corfu. It is an old, traditional village with characteristic architecture in houses and churches, such as the church of Agioi Saranta from the 17th century with the remarkable murals, but also that of Saint Athanasios. Perivoli is a renowned fishing village and has a small harbor where the fishing boats dock. Apart from fishing the residents are also occupied with tourism, which has seen rapid development in the area in the last few decades. Very close to the village there is Kaliviotis beach facing the mainland, while on the other side there is the beach of Malta or Agia Varvara.
