Municipal flower garden, which for some time now bears the name of contemporary British writers and friends of the island Lawrence and Gerald Durrell (1912-90 and 1925-95 respectively). Within the garden there is the statue of Lord Guildford, founder of the Ionian Academy (1824) during the Adam rule and the busts of poet Lorenzo Mavilis and writer Konstantinos Theotokis as well as many artworks by Corfiot sculptor Achileas Apergis.
