Kinopiastes is a large, picturesque village in the mainland of the island. The village houses with the characteristic Corfiot architecture, which have been there for more than two centuries, in traditional pastel colors, the narrow cobblestone streets and small squares make Kinopiastes one of the most interesting villages of the Corfu countryside. The church of Our Lady with the impressive marble entrance and wall paintings from the 18th century Ionian School stands in its central square. Also worth visiting is the monastery of Agia Paraskevi from the 17th-century, which is located at the edge of the village. The unique Corfu Olive Tree Museum is also located in Kinopiastes.
